Robert Jeffcock, President
Robert Jeffcock founded the Athol Gallery in Douglas Isle of Man in the early seventies which was quickly followed by a second gallery the Athol Gallery Mount Street London. Both galleries specialized in British 19th and 20th Century paintings. Prior to opening his galleries Robert gained experience by buying many paintings in partnership with Oscar & Peter Johnson (now Arthur Ackermann Ltd). After the Mount Street Gallery received extensive damage from an IRA bomb the London gallery was shut. In 1980 the Athol Gallery Dallas Texas was opened. From Oil paintings, the gallery slowly become an oil and gas investment office. Robert is still heavily involved in the Oil and Gas business today. After many years of friendship with Peter Johnson Robert & his family have now invested in the Arthur Ackermann Gallery.
Francis Jeffcock
Francis Jeffcock is the great grandson of the artist Charles August Jeffcock R.A. and closely related to the Victorian genre artists Marcus Stone and Laslett Pott. As a result art had a strong influence on him in his formative years. Until he joined Arthur Ackermann Limited he was managing director of Thinking Virtual Limited. Francis brings in a broad range of business knowledge developed through starting up and running Thinking Virtual. He has a strong business IT and Internet background which will be used to take the company forward.
James Kayll
James started in the art business as a porter at Sotheby’s, he went on to become the youngest salesman ever employed by Wildenstein’s in Bond Street. From there he joined Frost and Reed and was appointed a director. After fourteen years there he joined Richard Green and set up Richard Green’s first exhibition in the USA in Saratoga Springs N.Y. On the retirement of John White of W.H. Patterson’s James became Bill Patterson’s co-director. After the death of Bill Patterson he went to the Oakham Gallery, he retired in 2007. In the summer of 2008 he was offered the opportunity to help re-vitalise the Arthur Ackermann Galleries and he was pleased to accept.

Peter Johnson
Peter Johnson founded the Gallery of Oscar and Peter Johnson Ltd. with his father in 1963. He is a third-generation art dealer. His grandfather, Percy Johnson, started the family tradition in the 1880's. Peter Johnson was a Council Member of the British Antique Dealers' Association, is the Honorary Keeper of the Cromwell Museum, Past Chairman and Co--Founder of the British Sporting Art Trust, to whom Sir Paul Mellon kindly gave some works from his extremely fine collection of British Sporting paintings. Peter co-authored 'The Nasmyth Family of Painters' and is considered an authority on the Norwich School of artists. Peter purchased and merged Arthur Ackermann Limited with Oscar and Peter Johnson Limited to form Ackermann and Johnson in 1992.
Matthew Frost
Matthew Frost graduated from Leeds with a BA Hons in Russian and Fine Arts. He went on to doctoral studies at the University of Texas at Austin in Russian studies where he specialized in Russian 20th century art. Matthew is the son of Sir Terry Frost R.A. one of the foremost abstract painters of the post-war generation.
William Jeffcock
William Jeffcock graduated from Haverford College with a BA Hons in Fine Arts. He was also awarded the Prince Philip award for arts by the RSA of London. He has spent most of his working life in the natural resource sector and was managing director of two mining companies, in Ecuador and Brazil. He was co-founder of Cadogan Petroleum plc and the chairman until April 2008. William is also managing director of Tomuro Limited a private investment company and a director 3Legs Resources plc.
